Katharine Dowson studied sculpture at the Royal College of Art and has exhibited worldwide. Collections include The Arts Council Collection, The Wellcome Trust, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation amongst others. She was brought by Charles Saatchi and is included in Shark Infested Waters, Saatchi Collection of British Art in the 90's.
Dowson exhibited in 'Spectacular Bodies, A History of Anatomical Art from Leonardo to Now' at the Haywood Gallery London.
Dowson has used glass throughout her career and along side her sculpture, she has been exploring the possibilities of cast glass bowls with the inspiration coming from landscapes and natural formations, from Icebergs to Sand Dunes.
