Sharon has been developing her skills as a glass artist since 2014. As a former scientist she particularly enjoys the technical and practical challenges of rendering her ideas into glass forms. She has a strong interest in the contrasts of organic and geometric forms and also the textures and patterns of cellular and microbiological nature. Her work is usually an abstract expression of an emotion or feeling and inspired by the forms of nature and abstract sculpture. She enjoys exploring the contrast between organic and geometric forms and textures and highlighting these by the use of colour.
